Pokemon GO: January 2022 Spotlight Hour Schedule
In 2022, Pokemon GO will introduce monthly catch-a-thons called Spotlight Hour for the first time. Each week in January, due to four new Spotlight Hour Pokémon, you’ll get 2x Transfer Candy, Catch Candy, or Catch Stardust! This tutorial was created to teach you how to get the Spotlight Hour Bonus Pokémon. We’ll also go over whether these Spotlight Hour Pokémon are available in Shiny form during their heightened spawn hour for all you Shiny collectors out there.
January 2022 Spotlight Hour Schedule
The following spotlight hours will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the days specified. Regardless of where you are, Niantic will flood your local streets with Spotlight Hour Pokémon for sixty minutes. Let’s get started with this month’s Pokémon Spotlight Hour.
4th January, Solosis
This is the first Spotlight Hour Pokémon, as of January 4, 2022. You must have 125 Candy in order to finish your Pokédex. If you transfer any spare Solosis to the professor before the hour is finished, you will receive 2x Transfer Candy.
Because of the nature of the event, Solosis is the only non-Shiny Pokémon in the lineup. The increased Solosis spawns are still worth taking advantage of so you may fully evolve and battle-ready your special Pokémon when the Shiny version comes in the wild!
11 January, Diglett
Diglett emerges from the ashes in January’s second Spotlight Hour. This Ground-type will spawn in great numbers on January 11th, in addition to the 2x Catch Stardust advantage. Because Dugtrio’s evolution still allows it to outperform its peers in the Great League, it’s recommended that you acquire any Diglett you can.
During the sixty minutes of this month’s second Spotlight Hour, a Shiny Diglett could occur. You’ll have to keep an eye out for Shiny Diglett’s color shift.
18th January, Plusle
Catching this Electric-type Pokémon during its Spotlight Hour on January 18th could help you get off to a good start in the new year. Plusle is the first of two supercharged mouse Pokémon to come in January, and it is also available in Shiny form during the event.
Minun – 25th Jan
In January 2022, Minun is the polar opposite of Plusle. By catching both Shiny forms of Plusle and Minun during the Spotlight Hour, you can add them to your roster before the end of the month. Professor Minun also joyfully doubles any Candy for Pokémon who have been transferred.
