Are you ready for a new look at Citi Field?

The New York Mets announced a multi-year partnership with Samsung as the official display and technology solutions partner at Citi Field on Friday morning.

The agreement involves a thorough renovation of Citi Field’s signage, which will begin in 2022. It will take two years to complete the project.

When finished, the new Citi Field will have the following features:

1. More than 1,300 LCD panels and 4,000 square feet of direct-view LED screens are installed in public locations, boosting the fan experience at every touchpoint and even alerting them when their team apparel is available for pickup.
2. An IPTV system that will broadcast approximately 100 channels of sports and entertainment material throughout the ballpark.

3. For expanded game coverage, double the number of slow-motion replay devices and triple the number of cameras.

4. A new and improved scoreboard with the newest LED technology and the ability to handle 4K video.

In a press release, Mets Chief Technology Officer Mark Brubaker said, “Our relationship with Samsung is a significant commitment from our owner Steve Cohen to bring the most state-of-the-art technology to the ballpark and provide our fans with an even better experience at Citi Field.” “When it comes to the most sophisticated technical displays, Citi Field is an industry leader due to the quality of these updates and their seamless integration into our fans’ daily experience.”
