Receiving approval from the European Commission then after a month, Google has officially bought the Fitbit. Google Completes the Purchase of Fitbit, also has reiterated that it does not want to obtain consumer health data but only sells FitBit devices.

It wants to work with Fitbit to offer new services and products that provide users with more knowledge, success, health and happiness said by Google in a statement

Google further added that users’ privacy and security is a sensitive issue and will give users complete control over their data. It will buy the FitBit for 7 1.72 billion at the end of 2019 announced by Google.
