CES 2022: What new Samsung and LG OLED TVs will be introduced?

CES 2022, the world’s largest tradeshow, will take place in January, and the excitement for the latest technologies has already begun.

What new TVs will arrive at is one of the essential consumer electronics sections that usually piques the interest of those attending the expo. Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) televisions dominated the expo last year, with 4K being the highest volume on display, but 8K and micro-LED TVs also made a major showing for the first time.

Samsung and LG Electronics, two of Korea’s biggest electronics companies, will undoubtedly show off new TVs with cutting-edge technology.

According to reports, Samsung is developing new display technologies that combine its OLED technology with quantum dots, an upcoming display technology that offers richer colors and a better viewing experience. Samsung had stated that it was working on a so-called QD-OLED TV and that it would be unveiled next year.

Samsung will also produce these TVs in the 55-inch and 65-inch sizes at first. Samsung is almost certain to exhibit these TVs at CES 2022.

LG debuted its first rollable OLED TV, which can be tucked away within a piece of furniture when not in use, as well as its first mini-LED TVs at last year’s CES. Another rollable TV is definitely likely this year since the company just demonstrated one of their wares at NFT Now.

Last year, TCL, a Chinese electronics company, had a number of TVs on exhibit, including its own rollable OLED that could be hidden. The company has also begun releasing mini-LED TVs in recent months, including one that won a CES 2022 innovation award recipient. This is most likely what the business will show off at CES 2022, but as the market goes toward more foldable and flexible form factors, another rollable is also likely to appear.

Other major consumer electronics companies, such as Sony, Hisense, Panasonic, Vizio, and others, are expected to show off their latest goods, as well as a number of 8K breakthroughs.

On January 5-8, 2022, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will be held in Las Vegas.
