Your sensitivity settings in Apex Legends can mean the difference between life and death, so here’s how to find your ideal sensitivity in the game.

When you join an Apex Legends game, you’ll be up against tough competition from other players, and the difficulty will gradually rise. With the right sensitivity settings, you can increase your chances of success.

Top streamers like NICKMERCS and other pro players prioritize these settings because they affect your camera movements in the game. If you’re not sure what your perfect sensitivity is, this guide will help you figure it out.

Because everyone’s needs are different, copying someone else’s sensitivity settings in Apex Legends will not work. You’ll have to experiment with the settings until you find your ideal sensitivity.

It will take a few tries to get this setting.. just right, which is why the firing range is the ideal place to practice. Without being shot at, you can take as much time as you need to find the right sensitivity.

This is what you must do:

  • Enter the firing range.
  • Make a note of the movements of your recticle as you flick it between the dummies.
  • Navigate to the Main Menu.
  • In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, click the gear symbol.
  • Go to Mouse/Keyboard or Controller (depending on what you’re playing with) in Settings.
  • Make the necessary adjustments to your sensitivity settings.

It’s critical that the sensitivity allows you to turn around in one complete swipe. Enemies can sneak up on you from behind, forcing you to turn quickly in order to respond.

If you notice that your crosshair moves too quickly and goes too far, reduce your sensitivity. You’ll need to increase this setting if it’s moving too slowly and seems unresponsive.
