Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 3 Review

The Super shoe season has arrived. The release of everything, from the Asics Metaspeed Sky+ to Nike Alphafly 2, will bring carbon rain over the next few months. Despite the supply-chain delays and ongoing delays, it’s been difficult for companies to keep to their release dates. Adidas has come through with the Adizero Adios Pro 3.

The Adios Pro, last year’s sleeper supers shoe, quickly became a myth in the novice and professional space. Peres Jepchirr’s feat of becoming the first person to win both the New York Marathon and Olympic gold in one year was worthy.

Believe in the Run found the Adios Pro 2 to be an interesting shoe. It felt very different from other super shoes. It moves when you move. The Lightstrike Pro is the best. The carbon energy rods give a great snap off the toe. The Takumi Sen 8 is a shorter-distance version and one of our favorite shoes from the past year.

What’s new

What has changed in the latest version?

Adios Pro 3 still makes use of carbon-fiber Energyrods but in a complete-manner. The new design replaces separate rods that were prone to snapping, and is one form of “harmonious stiffness.” They are embedded into the midsole and run parallel with the metatarsal to provide the relatable to Pro 2.

The Lightstrike Pro midsole has two levels of durometers. It provides both cushioning and energy return to help preserve your legs and improve performance over the marathon.

Although the upper is lighter than ever before, it provides support and heel lockdown through the inner pillows that are placed around the collar. We have the same version last year with a Continental rubber sole, which could be the best grip for racing.

As with many shoes, the Adios Pro 3 is made with recycled materials. This is part of Adidas’ ongoing effort to eliminate all virgin polyester and reduce plastic waste.
